Section I
The best way to understand and develop skills for verbal reasoning is through practice. Anyone who has ever attempted a sophisticated multiple-choice paper of this type will have experienced the intense frustration that sometimes results from not being able to explain or justify their response to the questions, or to actually question, in some cases, the answers given. The core of this course is therefore focused upon the skill of explanation, the practice, rather than the theory, of verbal reasoning. This both develops the skills of critical thinking in general, and gives an insight into the thinking of the examiners in particular. We provide nearly a thousand questions covering all aspects of section I of the test, and most importantly full detailed explanations of all questions. These have again been produced by tutors direct analysis and experience of the examination.
